De ventilator die inbegrepen is in het Samurai pakket word op zijn plaats gehouden door middel van fan clips. Deze is dus makkelijk te vervangen indien gewenst.

 De Samurai ZZ wordt geleverd met heel wat bevestigingsclips, en kan dus uitstekend op bijna alle moederborden bevestigd worden.

Er lopen 3 heatpipes (2x) naar het CPU koelblok, wat zorgt voor een zeer goede koeling voor zo'n "klein" blokje.

Nog een foto om te tonen hoe glad de onderkant wel is. Hoe gladder, hoe beter de warmte kan ontsnappen.

We hebben de Samurai ZZ getest op volgend systeem:

Kamertemperatuur: 23°C

 De temperaturen liegen er niet om. De AMD Phenom II X4 955 is een heethoofd, en deze Scythe Samurai ZZ lijkt dit niet al te graag te hebben. Dit zal ondermeer te maken hebben aan het kleine formaat van de cpu koeler.

 Conclusie:

De Scythe Samurai ZZ is een mooie cpu koeler voor de mid- en low-end gebruikers. Voor echte overclockers raad ik toch de Mugen 2 aan, als je toch met luchtkoeling wil werken. De Samurai ZZ slaagde er net in om de AMD Phenom II X4 955 op een deftige temperatuur te houden, maar faalde wel een beetje op het vlak van overclocking. Dankzij zijn kleine omvang is de Samurai ZZ makkelijk in te bouwen in kleinere behuizingen, en HTPC's.
